Florida's Best Beaches
Living in the sunshine state means hitting the beaches in the summer! There are so many beaches to choose from which is why you can spend a lot of time trying to decide which ones to visit. There’s more than 1,200 miles of coastline, so whether you’re looking to lay out and catch some rays or play beach volleyball with your family and friends, you’re bound to find a beach that’s perfect for you. If you’re on the hunt for the best one, here are a few of Florida’s top rated beaches.
Destin
Outside of Florida, this beach may not be that well known, but it IS highly underrated. In Florida’s Northwest coast in the panhandle, Destin Beach was ranked the #1 beach by U.S. News. You’ll find white, sandy beaches, turquoise waters and plenty of sunshine. If you’re lucky, you might spot some sea turtles or dolphins here. This is one of Florida’s most affordable beach towns and has plenty of family-friendly, fun beach activities.
Sanibel Island
If you’re looking for an escape from the hectic day-to-day, Sanibel Island is the perfect place. This is one of Florida’s hidden treasures where you’ll be able to truly relax. Quiet, calm shores and beaches full of pretty shells give visitors a peaceful retreat to enjoy. This place is less about partying and more about collecting the pretty seashells or fishing off of the pier at Lighthouse Beach Park. This beach was voted #2 in the state by U.S. News.
Clearwater Beach
#3 on the same list is Clearwater Beach. This is another great destination for a relaxing beach day where you can enjoy brilliantly white sand and gentle, warm, and turquoise waters. There’s a beach promenade where you can go biking or skating and a nearby pier (Pier 60) that’s perfect for fishing. You’ll also find local vendors selling farmer’s market items like arts, crafts, accessories and food. Clearwater Beach has become the go-to beach on the Gulfcoast. Siesta Key Beach
If you’re looking for a more exciting, fun-focused beach experience, Siesta Key is the right beach for you. This is a great spot for couples and families alike. You’ll find this beach off the coast of Sarasota and is well known nationally as one of the top beaches in the country. You’ll find 8 miles of gorgeously white sands and cerulean waters, shopping, dining, and a buzzing nightlife. Naples

If you want a hands-on nature experience, At Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park you can snorkel, collect shells, check out local wildlife and more. The pier will give you breathtaking sunset views and unforgettable fishing.
